What are the Various Document Intake Methods in PF 360 Capture?

CapturePoint has various file intake options, such as,

• Email Intake
• Manual Upload
• Drag and Drop
• SFTP Intake
• API Intake
• Uniprint Intake
• Fax Intake

Email Intake

A dedicated email ID is set for a profile to receive Documents that are automatically processed in CapturePoint.

The images in this Document will demonstrate the process via Microsoft Outlook applications, but any email application can be used.

1. Create a new email in your email application
2. Enter the dedicated email address in the To Line.
3. Attach the Document.
4. Click Send

Note: CP system processes the emails only with attachments. The attachment file types accepted are “pdf”, “png”, “jpeg”, “jpg”, “png”, “bmp”, “tiff”, and “tif”. Other document types will not be processed by the system.

The in-body image attachments can also be processed. However, the profile needs additional configurations to accept the in-body attachments.

Manual Upload

Users can manually upload the Documents on the Document page.

1. Navigate to Documents tab and click Upload Document. 
2. Browse and select Documents and click Upload. On successful upload, Documents are taken for processing and sent to the Verification queue.

Drag and Drop

1. Drag a set of Documents from your computer locally and drop them into the void space. Documents cannot be dropped directly onto the Tile.

Once the Upload is successful, the Documents are taken for processing.

Once the Document is ingested in the CapturePoint, it goes through the OCR process. After the OCR, all the defined metadata are extracted and validated with defined business rules.
